Exciting News from Games Workshop

Exciting News from Games Workshop Rohan at War. Hey, folks! So, I’ve been having a pretty chill week on the hobby front, but I’ve got some awesome news from Games Workshop that I’m itching to share with you all. If you’re a fan of the Horse Lords, buckle up because the release of Rohan At War is about to blow your mind. Seriously, the lineup of stuff up for pre-order today is off the charts!

New Models Galore!

First up, we’ve got the jaw-dropping duo of Saruman and Wormtongue hitting the shelves. Trust me, these sculpts are next-level amazing. The attention to detail, especially in capturing Christopher Lee’s likeness on Saruman, is just wow! And let’s not forget about the new Rohan terrain kits—they’re almost here too.

Eye-Catching Sculpts

As a painting enthusiast, these new models have me drooling. The realism on Saruman is unreal, thanks to GW’s painting team working their magic. But let’s be real, recreating that level of detail might be a tad tricky for us mere mortals. The Rohan House looks solid too, though the woodwork seems a bit plain. Still, it’s a welcome addition considering how well it fits the Rohan theme.

Dunland Makes a Comeback

But wait, there’s more! GW’s also teasing new sculpts for Rohan’s old foes—Dunland! Now, I’ll admit, Dunland wasn’t exactly on my radar before, but seeing the sneak peeks has me intrigued. They seem to be cooking up enough minis to assemble a full-blown army, which is pretty darn cool!

Easy-Peasy Painting

One thing that catches my eye with the Dunland models is how easy they seem to be to paint. With all that mail armor, a quick basecoat, shade, and edge highlight should do the trick for most of the troops. The heroes might be a bit more challenging, but hey, who doesn’t love a good painting challenge?

Out with the Old, in with the New

Now, onto some bittersweet news. It looks like GW’s phasing out some old favorites like the Mahud and Arnor from their store. While it’s a bummer for collectors, it kinda makes sense since these factions weren’t as fleshed out in Tolkien’s lore.

Too Much of a Good Thing?

With all these new releases on the horizon, like Gondor At War and Scouring of the Shire, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. I mean, I’d love to dive into all these scenarios, but realistically, there’s only so much time and money to go around, right? Still, I’m not complaining—it’s awesome to have so many options to choose from!

Your Take?

So, what’s your take on all this exciting news? Any models catch your eye? Personally, I’m still holding out hope for a new Ent sculpt—I’d jump on that bandwagon in a heartbeat! Let me know what you think down below to rohan , and let’s geek out over all things Middle-earth together!
